The office of Apostle of Christ

The office of Apostle of Christ. Let’s talk about The office of the Apostle of Christ. The word apostle in Greek is “apostollos” meaning “one sent forth”. This Spiritual anointing is one of the most misunderstood in the church today. Jesus Christ appointed and sent twelve men at first to be the apostles in His church (Matthew 10:1-5) Later on The Holy Spirit chose Paul and Barnabas and sent them forth as apostles (Acts 13:1-4). Many others are also named as Apostles in the New Testament: Barnabas (Acts 14:14); Andronicus and Junia (Romans 16:7), Silvanus, and Timothy (1 Thessalonians 1:1). And more. Jesus sent HIS Apostles and equipped them to establish the will of God on earth as it is in heaven. To implement the building up of the Church of Christ on earth in an orderly manner, according to divine blueprints. Today we can hear and read people saying that the Apostolic anointing was for the early church only and is no longer necessary today. This is simply not true. What is the role of The office of the Apostle of Christ in the Church? God said to Moses: And you shall rear up the tabernacle according to the pattern of it which was shown you in the mountain. (Exodus 26:30). God wants HIS will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. JESUS CHRIST wants to build His Church on earth according to His Divine plan. Paul  The Apostle refers to himself as a master builder (1 Corinthians 3:10) this is a translation in Greek of the word “architekton” from which we derive the word “architect”. This description of Paul perfectly explains the Apostolic anointing: people called and anointed to receive heavenly blueprints from God, to keep the Church moving forward, growing and building in new directions (Paul was sent to the gentiles, as Peter was sent to the Jews, some, were sent in Africa, some in China, and each apostolic anointing will implement the building up of the Church on earth according to a specific vision and revelation from heaven, that only the apostle is able to receive and implement). As a master builder at work, the Apostolic anointing will attract the participation of gifted ministers (Pastors, Prophets, Evangelists, and other ministry anointings) to realize the heavenly blueprint on earth. How can we recognize The office of the Apostle of Christ today? An apostle is a minister sent by God to do a specific work. He needs to have a blueprint from heaven. We can recognize this anointing:
  • By the fruits produced from his ministry in the body of Christ: Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth: If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you, for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord. (growing the Church of Christ) (1Corinthians 9:2).
  • By the Power of God in his ministry: Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth concerning his Apostolic Ministry, in 2Corinthians 12:12 Truly the signs of the apostle were worked out among you in all patience, in miracles and in wonders, and by works of power.
It is easy to recognize the Apostolic anointing in the life of many ministers today: Do they have the vision to start building the Church in a new area? (Example ministering among radical Muslims. Building churches among them, growing the kingdom of God among them with love in a supernatural way). Not everybody can do this. But people called by God, with an apostolic anointing will receive the blueprint and the anointing from heaven and will make this happen and everybody will see a lot of fruits from places that seem unreachable for ordinary people. Many missionaries had an Apostolic anointing. This anointing is clearly seen, in the ministry of James Husdon Taylor (1832-1905). As we can see, churches can operate in order, when they are connected to an Apostolic anointing. The office of the Apostle of Christ operates according to a vision, a blueprint from heaven, and all the churches and ministry gifts under this anointing make the vision become true on earth. Independent churches on earth that are not connected to any heavenly blueprint are like wandering stars.
